SLB Wins Two 2026 OTC Spotlight on New Technology Awards

SLB has been honored with two 2026 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) Spotlight on New Technology Awards, recognizing its latest innovations aimed at transforming the offshore energy landscape. The awards highlight advancements that address key challenges in deepwater exploration and production, focusing on efficiency, safety, and environmental performance.

One of the awarded technologies is a next-generation subsea processing system designed to boost recovery rates while reducing surface infrastructure requirements. The system uses advanced sensors and automation to optimize flow assurance in harsh deepwater conditions. The second award recognizes a digital drilling platform that integrates real-time data analytics with downhole tools to improve well placement and reduce non-productive time. SLB officials noted that both technologies are already being deployed in major offshore basins, helping operators lower costs and minimize their carbon footprint.

The OTC Spotlight on New Technology Awards, established in 2004, honor innovative technologies that have been introduced to the market within the past two years. SLB has now received over 50 of these awards since the program began, underscoring its long-standing commitment to pushing the boundaries of offshore engineering. The awards will be formally presented during the 2026 OTC conference in Houston, where SLB is expected to showcase both technologies in its exhibition space. Industry analysts view the recognition as a signal of SLB's continued leadership in developing solutions for the evolving demands of offshore energy production.
