Purdue University Northwest’s College of Technology has secured more than $3 million in federal funding from two distinct grants provided by the U.S. Department of Defense. This substantial financial support is aimed at enhancing educational programs and workforce development initiatives in the fields of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI).
The funding will be channeled through PNW’s Center for Cybersecurity, a dedicated research center within the College of Technology. This center plays a crucial role in advancing the university's mission to prepare students for the rapidly evolving demands of the tech industry. With cybersecurity threats on the rise, the need for skilled professionals in this area has never been more critical.
The grants will not only bolster academic offerings but also facilitate partnerships with industry leaders, ensuring that students gain practical experience and knowledge that aligns with real-world challenges.
