SAN FRANCISCO, May 4, 2026 - Dreame has officially launched its latest window cleaning robot in North America, marking a significant step into the region's smart home market. The device, which the company calls a redefinition of vertical cleaning, uses precision technology to handle glass surfaces that are often difficult or dangerous for people to reach.
The robot is designed to navigate window panes autonomously, using sensors and mapping algorithms to detect edges, avoid obstacles, and adjust cleaning patterns. Unlike older models that relied on simple back-and-forth motions, this version can adapt to different window sizes and shapes, including frames and corners. Dreame says the unit can clean both the inside and outside of windows, with a safety tether and backup power system to prevent falls.
The launch comes as more consumers look for automated solutions for household chores. Window cleaning has remained a stubbornly manual task for many, often requiring ladders, squeegees, or professional services. Dreame's robot aims to fill that gap by offering a hands-free option that works on a variety of glass surfaces, from high-rise apartment windows to sliding doors.
Pricing and availability details were announced alongside the debut. The robot is now available through select online retailers in the United States and Canada. Dreame has not yet confirmed plans for broader distribution, but the North American release signals a growing push into markets outside of Asia.
While the technology is promising, some early users have noted that the robot works best on standard flat windows and may struggle with heavily textured glass or very narrow frames. Still, the company is betting that the convenience and safety benefits will win over homeowners and renters alike.
